TIME addresses the World’s Most Pressing Issues
in GLOBAL HEALTH

Today, more than 27 million people worldwide read TIME each week. When a cover story runs simultaneously in six TIME editions around the world—U.S., Canada, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa—it can catalyze the attention of the global community and set the wheels in motion to effect real change.

Yet the power of TIME extends well beyond the pages of the magazine. In November, 2005, TIME will combine its print and event forces to run a worldwidecover story and in-depth editorial report on Global Health, and host a Global Health Summit the week the issue is on newsstands.

Both the issue and Summit are timed to precede immediately a six-part Global Health documentary to air on NOVA, produced by WGBH-Boston and Vulcan Productions.

TIME Special Issues Increase the Impact of Your Ad Message

  • 40+ pages of extra editorial
  • Worldwide Reach: Six Editions, One Issue Date: November 7
  • Newsstand lift increases your reach: Health covers sell 20% better than average on newsstand.
  • PR boost increases your visibility: TIME’s Global Health Summit is expected to receive significant national broadcast exposure the week the issue is on newsstands (October 31-November 7).

Planned Editorial Topics

Delivering the Knowledge: In order for solutions to be effective, they must be heard. TIME will provide a platform to amplify the message and deliver so it can be heard by both opinion leaders and the general public.

Delivering the Medicines: TIME will focus on leading causes of three major illnesses in which delivery of information and medicine would have the most near-term impact: AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

Heroes of Global Health: TIME will showcase people and programs that are working. From South America to Southeast Asia, these heroes will share their stories and lessons with the leaders of institutions who have the resources and ability to effect real change.

All topics subject to change and final editorial approval.
